Content Type: Collection

Expected Use:

A navigation widget with one or two editable dropdowns that can hold between 7-13 items. Items should focus on a topic (e.g., most popular product categories by data or a list of signature brands) or a user need (e.g., displaying the most important Support links such as Order Status, Find My Impact Partner, Warranty Information, etc.).

Building the Navigation: 

The only field that requires text in the VN020 Collection is the Teaser Title. This is the tile for the overall component and appears centered above the dropdown(s). Set the layout variant to VN020. 

You will need to create one or two Collections (ex. Industry and Support) when building this component. Within these collections, you can add various content types:

• The Teaser Title of each Collection is the label that appears in the drop down box (eg. Industry, Support). 
• External Links open in a new window
• Internal Links open in the same window
• Videos display in a popup
• A Download item containing a PDF will open in a new window (Dependent on browser settings and browser support)
• A Download item containing any other document type will automatically download (Dependent on browser settings and browser support)

For teasable Items in these collection(s) the label shown in the drop-down is the Teaser Title. While you may need other fields for that content, the Teaser Title is the only field required for the VN020 to function properly.

• Teaser Title - The label shown in the drop-down list.
• Teaser Text - There is no teaser text required for this component. 
• Pictures and Other Media - No images for the navigation tile.
• CTA - While there is no specific CTA or text needed to be set for this Item, the item must have teasable content. If you are using a Teaser, the Teaser must have a Teaser Target. All other items will have teasable content by definition (eg. Video, Download, External Link.)
