Expected Use:
The Handcrafted Search – Products is a component that appears when a user enters a popular product term in the search bar. Instead of traditional results, the result generates the “handcrafted result”, tailored to provide essential product information for quick action by the user. Appears above the generic search results on the Search Results page. This is mainly provides a preview of relevant product information on popular products.
How to Build:
Nothing is required in the SE001 Collection other than one CTA for this component that should link to related content and set the Layout Variant to SE001. If you wish to include a “Contact Us” or similar CTA, add this one CTA to the SE001 collection. The “Contact Us” CTA is built by the editor on the SE001 collection. The Teaser Title, Text and Image will come from the Teasable Items.
On the Content Tab, your Items should contain the following:
- Drag and drop a Product Teaser as the first item in the list.
- Note: You do not need to put a CTA on the product teaser. The “View Product” CTA is automatically created for you when you add the product teaser and it will automatically link to the product detail page.
- The Teaser Title of the Product Teaser defaults to the Product Title from the catalog. This can be overwritten in the Teaser Title if desired.
- While the Long Description is pulled into the Product Teaser from the catalog, it does not populate any other field. You will need to copy and paste this into your Teaser Text or write new Teaser Text for this component usage.
- Drag and drop a C029 collection as the second item.
- The “All Documents” CTA is created or built on the C029 collection. If you omit the CTA on that collection, it will not display on the SE001.
- Note: The CTA for a C029 only displays if you use the C029 on the SE001. This is to match the design.
Note that you have the option to pick and choose a preferred "Background Color" under the Content Tab.
