Expected Use:
Used on emerson.com and extended sites as part of the global nav. This is an updated version of the original "bifurcated" menu on emerson.com to separate AutoSol and ComRes content. This menu style allows you to segment the menu into 2 halves. The two halves are separated by a thin vertical line to denote the two areas of content. There is a title for each column that is a static label and not a clickable link. While there are two halves, each half flows across two columns as all of the menu styles are designed as 4 columns. Much like the G013, you cannot control the column usage of the items, they simply flow one after the other across the row and onto the next.
How to Build the Menu:
Create a Collection and set the Layout Variant to G015
- Teaser Title - this is the title of the menu. (e.g. "Support and Resources") This text will need to be translated. Important note: a link is not supported here.
- Items - You will create 2 collections with a "Default" Layout Variant and drop them in the Items List of the G015. See below for building out these Collections.
- Promotional Teaser - The menu allows for one or two optional "eSpots" that are activated by adding teasable content to the Promotional Teaser. This can be a Page, External Link, Download, etc.
Building the Collections for the 2 Halves of the Menu:
For each collection you will need to author the following:
- Each column has a title (header label). The default behavior is for the Teaser Title of the Collection to be displayed as the header label. If a linked CTA is included, the Teaser Title of the linked Page will be displayed as the header and be a clickable link.
- Items - the primary use case is to add Pages to the Items List of these Collections. The Titles of the Pages will be displayed in the navigation. Note, you may add other teasable content including External Links, Downloads, Product Teasers and Videos to the Items List rather than Pages.
- A max of 16 Items can be added to each Collection.
