This should appear in the footer of your site. You can have from 1 to 5 social icons represented. These should point your users to your social properties such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, WeChat, etc. These are configured by locale so you can have country/language specific properties shown.
For social properties such as WeChat that only operate on mobile devices using their app, you can add a QR code to direct the user with their phone camera. See G011 - Footer Social QR Modal below for instructions on building this.
In the original CoreMedia site design, the Social Footer Icons were created with a CoreMedia Placeholder with the Function Variant "social". While this is still a valid component in CoreMedia and still used on some sites, it should be considered deprecated and superseded by the G010. The old "social" variant is hard coded and controlled by a Settings Document located on the Homepage. Instructions for this version are no longer provided.
The G010 is a Collection that contains external links to the appropriate social properties.
