Expected Use:

C086 component is mainly used to highlight multiple featured event speakers, experts or other grouping of professionals, as part of an event-page layout or as a teaser snippet on a site page or section topic to highlight other experts such as thought leadership authors. It features 4+ expert profile items in a looped carousel format, each showcasing a rounded profile image, full name and professional info text. Items are are linked to corresponding C084 Featured Expert Details Modal listing additional details, social media and supplemental content links.

The component can be augmented to include a centered copy block above the main headline used to give more contextual interest or introduction to the experts as a group.

With C086B, this component serves as an alternate layout variant of the C086 Featured Expert Carousel, intended to showcase at a glance the breadth and depth of professional experts Emerson offers in a given industry or business segment, such as corporate leadership. The linked Name/Professional Details text of each grid item triggers display of its corresponding C084 Featured Expert Details Modal Card.

Building the C086 Component:

The C086 Collection contains the component title and body text along with a collection for each expert profile.

• Teaser Title - The headline of the component left aligned just below the centered description and immediately above the expert images
• Teaser Text - this is the descriptive copy that is centered at the top of the component and sits above the teaser title and expert images
• Items - You will add a collection for each expert profile. See below for building these collections
• Layout Variant - Set the layout variant to C086 for carousel, set to C086B for list version
• CTAs - The Collections you add to the items act as the CTAs for this component. There are no specific CTAs set in the C086 Collection.

Creating the Expert Profile Collections:

For each expert (author, speaker, etc.) you will create a collection as follows and add it to the Items List of the C086 Collection.

• Teaser Title - This is the expert's name
• Teaser Text - This is a brief title for the expert (eg. job, company)
• Pictures and Other Media - not used. The image is pulled from the Collection you add to the Items List of this Collection
• Items - You will add a C084 Collection to the items list. See the C084 Expert Profile Card author page for how to build this Collection
• CTAs - While this collection becomes a CTA for the C086 Collection, there are no specific CTAs set for this collection. The information comes from the C084 Collection you add to the Items.
