Expected Use:

2-column content lockup featuring three editorial teasers and two related callouts with supporting images. Most often used to supplement a featured topic in the Perspectives section of the website. The component's default usage includes a left aligned title. Two additional use cases include (1) usage within a C016 Horizontal Tab Component and (2) paired with a C033 above for a deeper callout which excludes the C083 left aligned title.

Building the Component (Default usage):

For the main C083 Collection you will add a Teaser Title, the two sub-components (left query list and right collection) and set the Layout Variant to C083.

• Teaser Title - not used in the default case
• Teaser Header - this is a left aligned title/heading for the component. While optional, it is expected in the default use case
• Teaser Text - not used in the main component
• Items - you will build a Query List and a Collection that pair to make the right and left halves of the component. The left half (Query List) must be listed first in the Items List and the right half (Collection) listed second.
• CTAs - there are no CTAs defined in the main C083 Collection
• Pictures - there are no pictures defined in the main C083 Collection
• Layout Variant - set to C083

For the left component (Query List):

• On the Conditions Tab:
  • See instructions for the C009b for a better understanding on how to build a query list and configure the options
• On the Content Tab:
  • Teaser Title and Teaser Text - not used
  • Items - You may "pin" content or define all of the content for this list (up to three Items) if you do not wish to use the query functionality or wish to pin one or more items to always show. This must be teasable content such as a Teaser, Page, Video, Download or External Link.
  • Layout Variant - set to default

For the right component (Collection) you will build a Collection very similar to a VN009 with two tiles:

• Teaser Title and Teaser Text - not used
• Items - two teasable items that include a Picture, Teaser Title, Teaser Text and a Teaser Target. See the instructions for VN009 for additional information on building a visual navigation tile.
• Layout Variant - set to default

Usage in a C016 Horizontal Tab:

You will construct as many C083s as you wish to show in horizontal tabs as noted above in the default instructions. In each of your C083 Collections you will need to add an Alternate Title to populate the section label for the C016 Horizontal Tab.

• Teaser Title - This is the C016 horizontal tab label (default unless overwritten in the Alternate Title)
• Teaser Header - should not be used in this use case
• Items - add your C083 Collections here in the order in which you wish them to appear
• Layout Variant - set to C016

Paired with a C033 Centered Copy Component:

The C083 component is also designed to allow usage with a C033 Centered Copy component above the C083 in order to more fully describe the content in the C083 collection. This is designed to work with the default usage and not with the C016 horizontal tab. 

Bundle Entries:

This component uses several text fields that need translated content. These can be found in one of the Bundle files which are most easily accessed on the Localization tab of the Homepage.
