Aspect Ratio:

Expected Use:

  • This component is used for featuring or calling out downloadable documents and/or media resources. C029 allows content authors to select the content type they want to showcase, including: PDF, video, image, and podcast. Content types can be co-mingled in the same strip if the content author chooses. For more than five items in a strip, carousel arrows provide controls to explore additional content.
  • This component also highlights supplemental documents or media on a page with optional carousel. May be used to support other components such as the C026 Case Study Block with Optional Carousel or the C025 Video Carousel.

Building the Component:

On the Content Tab, include the Teaser Title and document or media items to appear on this component and set the Layout Variant to C029. A Teaser Text is not needed. A minimum of 3 documents or media Items to highlight is required. The text that appears under the documents comes from the Teaser Title of the CoreMedia Document. See below for details on each content type. CTA is pulled in from the content added to the component. For the various teasable content:

  • Download
    • Teaser Title - this is used for the text of the item in the C029. Note, the Teaser Title is inherited from the Download Title but can be overwritten to change to allow a different Teaser Title and Download Title.
    • Binary Data - This is the download content (usually a PDF).
    • Picture and Other Media - This is not used. The thumbnail shown in the component is automatically chosen based on the file added. There is a thumbnail image used for PDFs with the Acrobat icon and a thumbnail used for other document types that shows a download icon.
  • Audio
    • Teaser Title - this is used for the text of the item in the C029. Note, the Teaser Title is inherited from the Audio Title but can be overwritten to change to allow a different Teaser Title and Audio Title.
    • Binary Data - This is the download content (usually a WAV or MP3).
    • Picture and Other Media - This is not used. The thumbnail shown in the component is automatically chosen based on the audio document type with a person surrounded by sound icon.
  • Video
    • Teaser Title - this is used for the text of the item in the C029. Note, the Teaser Title is inherited from the Video Title but can be overwritten to change to allow a different Teaser Title and Video Title.
    • Video File URL - This is the download content (Brightcove or YouTube)
    • Pictures and Other Media - REQUIRED FIELD. A picture MUST be added as the thumbnail. If no picture is added, the video will not play.
    • Note that if the picture or video are embedded and not stored within CoreMedia, it will not display the file size.
  • Picture
    • Teaser Title - there is not Teaser Title on a Picture Document type. The Picture Title is used for the text.
    • Picture - there is no actual label for the picture. You will upload your picture in the area at the top of the component. This is displayed as the thumbnail.

Authors also have the option to modify the Background color via the Content Tab.
