Expected Use:
- HTML IFrame content should typically not be used. Use of this should be limited to content approved first by your platform and by the Content Governance Team.
- The content within the IFrame should be responsive and meet the design guidelines of One Emerson. Please work with your Platform lead and your content vendor to align CSS and design.
- The editor setting up the IFrame should make use of the “Sizes” section to set the Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile heights in such a way that white space is minimized and there is no inner scrolling within the IFrame.
Building the Component:
This is a special use case CoreMedia Document type. While this is labeled as the C021 layout, it is simply a designation and the HTML IFrame is of the C021 layout type by default as the actual content code and CSS create the style of the content contained in the IFrame. There is no Layout Variant to set when using the HTML IFrame.
Filling out the Fields:
- Teaser Title - not used
- Description - optional, but not used in the component display
- Data URL - This is the URL of the content you are pulling into the component.
- Sizes:
- Width - generally set to 100% to fill the full screen
- Height - you should set the height for each device in pixels. Your data source may provide this or you may need to adjust by trial and error to find the right height to avoid scroll bars appearing.
