Expected Use:

C020 allows authors to highlight two, three, or four products by utilizing customizable content in a flexible, multi-column layout. The C020 features an optional product image or video within each column header, and leverages the CoreMedia Rich Text Editor to allow content authors to highlight key product features. Using the RTE, authors can also include features such as HTML fragment embeds for Pricing/Where-to-Buy widgets, in-line hyperlinks, lists, and secondary image & video media within each column’s body content.

C020 is mainly used to highlight or compare/contrast multiple featured products. Compare two, three, or four products, services, series, or other pieces of content through a completely customizable side-by-side column view. This component features flexible authoring to allow for optional image or video media, Rich Text content, and multiple product, e-commerce, and/or marketing CTAs. Authors can add up to 4 CTAs (2 Button CTAs, 2 Text CTAs) per column to drive users to associated product marketing and/or product details pages as needed.

Building the Component:

On the Content Tab include a Teaser Title and Text that will appear on the top most left side of the component for C020. Remember to set your Layout Variant to C020. This component is specifically designed to support a Video or a Picture. In addition, 1 to 4 CTAs can be used that can link to a Generic Details Page, Category Page, PDP or PDF. Your Component should contain the following:

• Teaser Title - The main headline of your component. 
• Teaser Text - The body copy of your component. This is simple rich text. 
• Pictures and Other Media - This includes the optional image (Video or Picture) shown on the component. These are added as Teasers on Items for C020. 
• Items - The content or featured product displayed on each column. They are used to provide additional text copy in the C020.
• CTA Label and Teasable Content - No CTAs used. CTAs come from the added Items on C020. 
• Lyaout Variant set to C020.

Creating the Picture or Video Teasers:

the primary use case is for content comparison, you will use a Teaser on the Items List for C020.  

• Teaser Title - This is the column title or headline of your featured content. 
• Teaser CTA Label - This is the optional eyebrow or mini-descriptor shown right below the image and on top of the Teaser Title.
• Teaser Header Text - This is the optional sub headline of your featured content. 
• Teaser Text - The body copy of the featured content. Flexible authoring allows the use of Rich Text content formatting. 
• Pictures and Other Media - This includes the image or video shown on the featured content.
• CTA Label and Call-to-Action Button - This can be any teasable content such as an External Link, Page, Download or Video. Authors can add up to 4 CTAs (2 Button CTAs, 2 Text CTAs) per column to drive users to associated product marketing and/or product details pages as needed.
  • For a single CTA: This is entered in the Call-to-Action-Button section with the radio button selection of "Use Linked Call-to-Action Label" if you wish to use the CTA label from your teasable content or the radio button with selection of "Use both Custom & Linked Call-to-Action Label" where you will drop your teasable content along with entering your custom CTA label. 
  • For two up to four CTAs: This is entered in the Call-to-Action-Button section with the radio button selection of "Use Linked Call-to-Action Label" if you wish to use the CTA label from your teasable content. You cannot use the "Use both Custom & Linked Call-to-Action Label" when using two or more CTAs.
• Set Layout variant to "Default".
