Expected Use:

The Feature with Optional Carousel is primarily used to concisely express a product’s value proposition on each slide followed by a call to action, leading to a product detail or featured technology page. This Featured Carousel includes a product photo on the left and descriptive copy on the left/right. The copy should express the product’s value proposition in concise, compelling fashion. Limit to 5 products in the carousel.

Building the Component:

Nothing is required in the C005 Collection other than the teasable Item you are using for the contents of the feature with carousel and setting the Layout Variant to C005. The Teaser Title, Text, CTA Label and Image will all come from the teaser you will include in the Item list. The primary use case is for one feature (Item), but you can have up to five by adding more Items to the Items List.

For the teasable Item you can use any teasable content such as a Teaser, External Link, Page, Download or Video. As always, if you use a Teaser to separate your content (best practice) you can still set your Teaser Target to any of the four variations such as External Link, Page, Video or Download. Your teasable Item should contain the following:

  • Teaser Title - The main headline of your Feature.
  • Teaser Text - The body copy of your Feature.
  • Pictures and Other Media - This includes the image shown on either left or right side of the Feature.
  • CTA Label and Teasable Content - This is required for the default CTA text shown regardless of what type of content you are teasing. This is entered in the Call-to-Action-Button section with the radio button selection choices of:
    • "Use Default Call-to-Action Label" if you wish to use the CTA label from your teasable content;
    • "Use Linked Call-to-Action Label" if you wish to use the CTA label from your teasable content or
    • "Use both Custom & Linked Call-to-Action Label" where you will drop your teasable content along with entering your custom CTA label.
