The S001 is intended to allow a user to share a specific page to their social media accounts. The example below shows example of the S001 used with the default social media icons and URLs designated per site in the code base. The S001 is used as an action Content item. In the action, the content author should select Function Variant "Social Sharing Bar". Changing the default options for the entire store requires a code change. Options to override the default social media options and URLS per page are documented on S001 Regression Page specific to a Locale.
The sample shown below is the latest Default S001 Social Share Inline as of FY 2024. The VN002 - S001 contains other S001 sample scenarios.
If the standard version of the social sharing bar does not meet your needs on a specific page you may create an alternate version from the available social properties that are currently defined. New icons for this component require coordination with a developer and will need approval from the Content Governance Team.
Current Icons include: Blog, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram, Naver, TikTok, Pinterest, RSS, Twitter X, WeChat, Weibo, YouTube. Although these icons are available, not all have been configured to be used. If you wish to use a new option, you will need to request approval through your platform representative. (Some of these cannot be used for S001 regardless - eg. you cannot post to YouTube.)
Note that social icons for CopyURL, Email and Print also exists and follows the same standard set up as that of the likes of Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
