Roxar-Gauge Carriers

Roxar Gauge Carriers

Product Description

Roxar designs, engineers, and manufactures a suite of gauge carriers tailored specifically for Roxar's portfolio of downhole gauges. The tool’s purpose is to protect the downhole gauges while being installed in the hole and during the lifetime of the well while allowing the gauges leak proof access to the well’s pressure and temperature. The universal carrier design allows the operator to choose any gauge combination with no design changes to the carrier. The gauge carrier can be configured to obtain measurements in either the tubing or annulus. The gauge carrier has a slim full-bore design and will be an integrated part of the tubing string. Cable slots are part of the gauge carrier design giving a bypass to instruments and tools deeper in the well.

Features

  • The gauge will be fully emerged in the gauge carrier for optimal protection.
  • For tubing pressure reading a double metal to metal seal configuration between the gauge and the carrier ensures the tubing integrity.
  • The seals can be pressure tested after gauge installation.
  • The carrier is designed to maintain a full-bore flow path of the production tubing, ensuring the carrier does not affect the flow of hydrocarbons or interventions.
  • Carriers are machined from a single, non-welded metal billet and can be specified to cater for various tubing sizes, common materials, and premium threads.
  • The gauge mandrel can support control-line bypass for applications requiring chemical injection or intelligent well configurations where hydraulic lines are required lower in the completion.
  • Mechanical properties of the gauge carrier are the same or better than the tubing it will interface to
