Roxar-Connectors and Splices

Roxar Connectors and Splices

Product Description

Roxar offers cable connectors, inline splices, and y-splices for both mono and dual Tubing Encased Conductor (TEC) cables. Our splices use dual metal-to-metal seal technology with a pressure port for testing prior to deployment downhole. All HS splices have an integral pressure barrier to ensure any damage to the cable or gauges below the splice does not allow pressure to propagate past the splice. Our splice design allows us to be an industry leader in fastest instillation time. This allows our clients to save rig-time and minimize time working in the red zone.

  • Features

    • Each splice may be fully or partially made-up onshore to ensure efficient installation on-site. This allows Emerson to minimize the rig time for pressure testing and cable connections.
    • The Roxar Downhole Inline Splice is used to connect a ¼” TEC (twisted pair or monocable) whenever a splice is required on the TEC. This could be due to damage to the cable while running in the hole or to splice the cable above or below a packer or other completion device without a bypass groove.
    • The Roxar Y-Splice may be used to splice two independent monocables from a tubing hanger into a single twisted pair cable. The Y-Splice would then be placed near the tubing hanger and secured to the tubing using a suitable fastener or carrier.
    • Our metal-to-metal seals create multiple pressure barriers within each splice. This ensures that our connectors and splices are reliable, and each barrier is pressure testable.
